Ball So Hard

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged, so I’ll admit it feels good to open up my computer and release my thoughts… The continuous, almost-silent hits of the keyboard almost brings pleasure to my ears, considering how long it’s been haha

But yea, come to think of it, the fact that I’m blogging right now kind of summarizes my Memorial Day Weekend thus far this year… Unlike my college years, when I would usually be trying to party it up or more recently tried to get out to Vegas lol, now it seems that I’m enjoying the fact that I can just sit my ass down and relax… The stress and unfathomable pace of my workload the past couple weeks has been relentless, and it’s been real nice to sit back, tune out, and just throw on my Beats by Dre headphones as I let my mind fall into a tranquil, free-flowing, and relaxing lull.

Granted, I haven’t been totally isolated and tuned out from society. Last night, I had a blast as a couple friends of mine drank with me for the first time in a while (maybe only a month, but for someone like me who enjoys takin a sip here and there throughout the week, a month without drinking with someone kind of is a significant bit of time lol)…. It’s always funny when I drink wit my friends, because my mind and body don’t react to it the same way as they do… Sure, I certainly still get affected, and the things around me suddenly appear to slow down and I almost feel as if I’m in my own sense of Inception lol… But I don’t get affected like the others do.. My face doesn’t get red as if I’m about to burst like those round Sour Punch head logos, and I don’t giggle and become seemingly high like the others haha… Instead, I kind of just return to square one, where I started, with my mind and body tranced within that same tranquil, free-flowing, and relaxing lull…

After the drinking and the buzzing of the environment was gone… Here I was again, back at my computer, chatting a bit via Skype and Facebook, and of course checking the dash of my Tumblr… That was only able to keep my attention for so long, before I suddenly decided to start looking at some of my fav clothing lines, and I noticed all of them were having huge MDW sales this weekend (nearly all stores were like at least 30% off!!!)… I kept browsing through sites, adding stuff to my cart… whether it was dress shirts, jeans, new tanktops, you name it… They were all in there… But suddenly, it occured to me… I already have tons of clothes, why get myself more?!!! Instead, I decided to embark on a challenge, which was finding some clothes for my girlfriend… To me, the task was twofold:

1) It would give me the satisfaction of getting something for my baby

2) It would make me think…

I say it would make me think cuz unlike guys clothes, girls clothes are much more harder to shop for (especially from a guy perspective). Even from the perspective of a somewhat admittedly metro-sexual male such as myself, it’s ultimately not hard to find a nice shirt and pair of jeans/shorts to match… On the other hand, girls clothing gets all sorts of crazy. For both the tops and bottoms, there are endless possibilities… You can do dress, skirt, or jeans on bottom… You can do shirt, blouse, tank, camis, etc. on top… And these are just a few of the endless possibilities.. For an OCD freak like me, it drives me head fuckin crazy!!! lol… But it’s fun, and as I said earlier, it’s a challenge… and so I thoroughly enjoy flipping through all the various lookbooks on each of the sites, and sparking ideas within my mind of which types of clothing blends and works best with each other… Ironically, the thing that was hardest for me was finding the right bathing suit… Never realized how difficult it is to be creative when it comes to finding the right top and bottom for those… I’ll give myself a pat on the back today tho, cuz I think I found a pretty nice combo, and as a straight-guy I take great pride in being able to sort out the good and the bad haha xD

So yeah… those are my random blurbs for now.. Perhaps if I get more bored later this weekend, I’ll be back again… lol
